PLC Tools SIM-IPE Reading And Writing An IP Address To A Wago 750-842 Ethernet Controller
The PLC Tools SIM-IPE IP Explorer can read and write an IP address to a Wago 750-842 Ethernet controller.
In this video we show you how to use the SIM-IPE with the Wago Ethernet controller. The Wago does require a power cycle to both read and write an IP address.
To read the IP address of the Wago Ethernet power up the IP Explorer, go to “Read Unknown IP”, then power up the Wago I/O. It takes about 10 seconds then you see the default IP address of the Wago Ethernet module which is 192.168.1.3.
To set the IP address of the Wago, go to Target Config, then “New Target Addr” and enter the IP address you wish to assign, then go back to the menu and select “Assign IP Addr”. Again the Wago controller does require a power cycle to accept this command.
