How To Read And Write An IP Address To An Allen Bradley Compactlogix PLC

You can read and write the IP address of an Allen Bradley Compactlogix PLC including replacing a static IP address.

You can either plug the PLC Tools SIM-IPE into a spare Ethernet port that the Compactlogix PLC is connected to or you can plug directly into the Compactlogix PLC.  Then you can discover the IP address, MAC address, model number, firmware revision, and serial number.  You can also replace a static IP address.
